Happy Halloween, freaky folks! Even this spook looks spooked! I think he wants to get out! Do you want to go in? I dare you!
I stamped this image on Tim Holtz coated stamping paper and wow, it produced a freakishly crisp, detailed image! Very impressive! Get it? Impressive impression? Sorry. Couldn’t resist.
I colored it using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. They didn’t move like watercolor markers on this paper, but I made it work with multiple shades.
I used a black card base with a gray background panel and attached the opening door image with a narrow strip of paper as a hinge onto the front. I had to fussy cut that baby – no big deal. So, the door opens on the front of the card revealing a surprise, and then the actual black card opens with another Halloween greeting as well.
The picture doesn’t do it justice, but I added some silver metallic gel pen to the hinges and hardware of the door as well as some strategically placed clear Wink of Stella on the purple signs.
Are you ready for the surprise? Behind the door, a scary skull & crossbones pops out and jiggles furiously! It is attached to an action wobble spring. Boing! Fun! (Sorry, I realize this is a bit anti-climatic in a photo!) Oh well.
A few scattered sequins and the card is finished!
